For Local Governments:
- Evaluate current housing policies and programs and provide recommendations that would more effectively use cities or counties resources
- Access current state and federal resources in the area of affordable and workforce housing and economic development
- Update and implement the housing elements of the comprehensive plan and SHIP plan, both of which are required to access state housing funds
- Work with local governments to analyze the needs of their community and design and choose developers to help achieve their goals
- Provide training for boards, commissions and staff regarding housing programs.

For Development Communities:
- Prepare Low Income Rental Housing Tax Credit (LITC), State Apartment Incentive Loan (SAIL), and Community Workforce Initiative Program applications for the Florida Housing Finance Corporation for funding affordable and workforce housing projects
- Work with local governments to explain state programs and to obtain the necessary information and approvals to facilitate the development process on specific projects
- Coordinate the development of multifamily rental projects from site choice through lease up of property
- Assist in negotiations with local and state governments to meet affordable housing requirements in the planned units developments and developments of regional impact
- Obtain financing for large multifamily rental projects through the state
- Work with not for profit and faith based ministries to increase their capacity and ability to become active participants in rebuilding, revitalizing, and reinvesting in their communities
- Work to create partnerships between corporations and not for profits, faith based ministries, public housing authorities and global government in their efforts of community development.
